About FCCLA

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national, state, and local Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) for young men and women in Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education in public and private school through grade 12.  At Alexandria, FCCLA strives to support each other, our school and our community through multiple service projects throughout the year. FCCLA members may take part in serving our school and community by painting faces at football games, hosting the Annual Faculty Christmas Tea, supporting Sav-A-Life and Second Chance through gift wrapping and supply drives, collecting coupons for military families, promoting healthy relationships through the Annual Safe Dating Workshop, and much more. Being active in FCCLA provides students many rewarding opportunities of helping others, personal growth, leadership, and fun.

FCCLA Mission:

To promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of a family member, wage earner, and community leader, members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.
